Year 1 have been reading ‘Beegu’ by Alexis Deacon and decided to take her on a walk around the local area. We showed her the local church St Benet’s, Tufnell Park tube station, local shops like Sainsbury’s and some of our homes too! We thought about 5 senses and wrote down all the things Beegu saw, heard, touched, smelt and tasted. This helped us prepare for our task back in the classroom – writing our own version of the story ‘Beegu’s next adventure’.
