Whole School Newsletter 20 March 2026
Thank you for joining us for parents’ meetings, so important for working collaboratively to support learning and success. It’s been a compact term, but packed with growth and progress!
A wonderful week of performance…
Year 4 and 6 were a lucky audience to theatre company Breach, collaborating with New Diorama on 'Time Sliders'. Children (and staff!) were absolutely captivated - a gripping production with incredibly interesting techniques using music, projection and even an exercise bike to show Zac's journey through different eras, searching for his grandmother's lost cycling medal. Ask your children about their favourite moments!
Juniors watched a performance and learned about a project between Acland Burghley School and icandance, a charity supporting young dancers with disabilities, to create a mixed abilities boys’ dance group. Celebrating diversity and connection, encouraging boys into dance and challenging stereotypes around disability, the dancers have performed in theatres and made a film about their collaboration. Made more special by dancers who are ex-pupils and EP friends.
But the performance highlight of the week was the Year 2 Victorian Assembly! We loved seeing the enthusiasm and confidence of the children as they demonstrated so much knowledge about their Victorian topic this term.
Imaginations have definitely powered up for Junior Engineer entries - ever caring and thoughtful, there were plenty of brilliant environmental ideas and several inventions to help the emergency services. We even had an invention to help tired parents (patent pending!).
We anticipate even more invention and creativity at home over the week ahead as children prepare egg-mobiles ready for one of everyone’s favourite EP traditions - The Great Egg-Race! Details and timings below.
.Eid Mubarak to all our families celebrating the end of Ramadan!

Forest School pick-up from EP
Urban Outdoors run forest school clubs with an offer to collect from schools. With sufficient interest (a minimum of 8 children), they can offer EP a Thursday forest school club for 11 weeks 3:30-5:30pm in the summer term starting from 16th April. They will pick up children from EP for a session in Foxham Gardens and collection at the end of the club is from there. Urban Outdoors run these sessions for other nearby schools and they are very popular. More information here.
Urban Outdoors are fully independent of EP and whilst of course we will assist in the end of day collection arrangements and will ask families to authorise pick-up, please contact them directly for details of their offer and to explore whether they meet your childcare needs.
