The Great Fire of London was re-created by Year 1 on Friday 12th December.
Everyone in the class had made a house – and the models were lined-up to represent Pudding Lane in September 1666.
Just like the real event our Year 1 fire started in the baker’s shop, which belonged to Thomas Farynor.
The fire quickly spread as the houses were crowded together, there was a strong wind and the wood (cardboard) was very dry!
The fire stopped at a gap in the houses – which is exactly what happened on day 4 of the Great Fire of London!
It was a spectacular and thought-provoking event!
