On Friday we welcomed some visitors into our classroom to watch a topic lesson. We turned our classroom into a real workhouse,  trying out jobs such as picking oakum (unravelling rope into individual strands). With all of this work, it was only natural that the Year 3 urchins became hungry, and what was it that they ate in the workhouses… Gruel! Yuck!
