Author Hannah Lee visited Infants today for classroom workshops and activities. The children joined a rap workshop and the energy was high! The children loved her stories and were delighted to have their books signed at the end of the day.
Growing up Hannah quickly noticed that there were not many books that reflected her experiences. She wanted to write books that would celebrate individuality and ignite a sense of wellbeing and pride. Her two stories ‘My Hair’ and ‘The Rapping Princess’ absolutely achieve this, and for the children the books are extra special having met Hannah and getting their copies signed.
What a great start to World Book Day week!
