We were joined by artist and parent Miriam in Year 2 today as we learnt about the origins of art in Australia. The children discovered how paintings and carvings were made to pass on the Dreamland stories, using ochre from the land. We heard the story of the Rainbow Serpent and were inspired to create our own dot paintings.
