Unexploded Bomb!

I ran in to the shelter, whimpering with fear. I had been told everything was going to be okay. But was it? The Anderson was just there but the bombs were here as well. We finally made it to the shelter and put up all of the sandbags to make sure no shrapnel could get through. I sat down shaking all over waiting for the all clear sign from our sirens but heard nothing. At last, after three long hours, the sirens gave the all clear sign and I clambered out of the Anderson only to be rushed back in by a shrieking mum crying “Unexploded bomb, unexplored bomb in our garden!”
Sorry a bit over 100!!!
I speedily ran around London placing bombs in unexpected places. Yes, I am a spy but I am the best spy. I’ve been going around town secretly for about two years now and I still haven’t got caught yet. I smoothly place a bomb in the River Themes and quickly run away, but this bomb was going to go off in about five minutes. Why not stand back and watch this bomb explode. I sat on a bench quite far away from the bomb s I wouldn’t hurt myself. But the bomb wouldn’t go off and explode I had to just leave it and run away.
I didn’t notice it at first. I was taking my morning stroll through the grassy field near my house when I saw a lump protruding out of the ground. I walked a little bit closer and dusted it off to find that it was an unexploded bomb from WW2! I was stunned. Its black paint was scratched and it looked as if it would explode at any minute. I sprinted back to my house, where I called the EOD (Explosive Ordnance Disposal) who arrived at my house in a flash, I took them to the bomb, and they defused it.
I was playing in my garden with my sister. We were pretending to be pirates. So me and my sister decide to bury our treasure. We got our spades and started digging. I used my dads spade and my sister used my spade. My sister went in the house to get our treasure while I was still digging. I was nearly finished, I just had to dig a tiny bit more to fit the treasure in. Suddenly, i hit something really hard. It sounded like metal. It wasn’t that small. it was quite large. my sister came so I told her about it. Me and my sister kept on digging until half of the garden was all messy. I didn’t know what it was so me and my sister told my mum. my mum came out in the garden and screamed. She told everyone to evacuate the house. my mum called the police and the police brought the bomb squad with them. the bomb squad told the police that it was a bomb from WWII.
The story of how I died is kind of a joke. It was completely unexpected as well. I was just taking my dog for a walk in the forest, as I had done for years and years. There weren’t many people there. We kept going until we came to the river, when my dog barked at something in the water. I decided to check it out. It was shiny, and most of it was buried. I managed to dig away most of the earth. Then my dog jumped onto it. I had just enough time to think “Wait, thats a bo-”.
It lay in the water, still. As I saw it from my boat I quickly sailed ashore to tell the police. They were out in the water at once, blocking off the streets for safety. A crowd slowly began to emerge, asking why the road could not be used. In a flash the news reporters appeared questioning everyone they could get their hands on. Meanwhile, the bomb was being taken to a small room so that if it exploded, it wouldn’t do any damage. It was driven carefully as no one knew if it would explode. It was from WW2.
It fell from the sky
And a sandbag nearby
Cushioned the landing of the unexploded bomb
Still it lay there
Silent but deadly
Wishing to burst the powers within
A man picked it up
Recognising the power
Handling it with caution and utmost care
It hit the water
And with a splash
Sank to the bottom of the River Themes
It fell from the sky
And a sandbag nearby
Cushioned the landing of the unexploded bomb
This all took place 77 years ago, I was 9 years old and WW2 had started. Nothing really changed after that. I stayed with my parents for a little longer until The Blitz started. The Blitz was a horrible time when Hitler made his army drop bombs on everyone.
One night air raid sirens filled the streets; we scrambled into our shelter and hid. Soon enough bombs were dropping. I was trembling, worried for our lives. The street next to us was suddenly attacked but nothing happened. Nothing blew up. And nothing was destroyed. We were safe, well for now.
I awoke from my slumber; I had no idea how long I’d slept. I imagined how grateful the boss would be for all the damage I caused when I go up to see him dominating the world. Suddenly, I couldn’t remember any damage that I caused! At that exact moment, someone slipped their hands around my back and lifted me up. I had appeared to have been sleeping in a river, and I couldn’t see a single German soldier anywhere! That’s when I heard the men examining me say, “this might be the biggest find of 2017!”, then, I realised.
What was that racked? Police cars outside my home and loud voices talking about , God knows what !? I was making my dinner when it happened . I walked outside with my slippers and night gown on to see vans and cars , all crowded round the themes . Then all of a sudden an officer had told me that there was an unexploded bomb in the river! Blimey! Then all of a sudden 1000 memory’s came rushing back to me. I remember being at the back of a spitfire age 15 shooting down the nazi planes (well attempting to ). I never like remembering those days , never.
I swam in the meandering murky river, blinded by the aquatic fog. My scaly skin enveloped by my home; comforting me as I twisted through the mouldy looking pebbles. My fins were pushing with all their might against the current. I stopped, somehow with the watery wind pushing against my journey. Two beastly creatures were right in front of me. Their oily skin was bright yellow like coral glazed in honey. A glass barrier placed on their face protected two milk white spheres with an abyss in the centre. An object appeared in their grasp with a cross on it.
