As we have been swimming EVERY DAY for the last fortnight, can you write me a story that is set in a swimming pool? You can pick the genre; it could be a horror story; it could be a sports story; it could be a comedy story! It just has to be exactly 100 words!
Swimming
Swimming is one of the most popular sports around the world. Not only does it help with memory function, but it also helps with health benefits. It became an Olympic sport in 1896 but women were not allowed to compete until 1912. Open water swimming was the first aquatic Olympic event. The biggest swimming pool in the world (found in San Alfonso del Mar, Chile) is the size of 16 football pitches. The first ever swimming goggles were made from tortoise shells. In conclusion, swimming is one of the best sports as you use every muscle in your body.
As my best friend did a handstand underwater, I struggled to do one myself. We had been trying to get me to do one for WEEKS. “Close enough,’’ she cheered. “Let’s try turns,”.
This too I was bad at. “Nearly!” She screeched. Eventually, we just gave up and started diving. This was the only thing I was good at that she wasn’t. It was my turn to encourage and edge her on. The guard blew hard on her whistle to signal the end of our session. Our teacher came round to congratulate us on trying. I looked appalled. We tried?
The swimming pool
The night before the children went swimming a pigeon came through the roof. It fell in the water and drowned. In the morning the pigeon was found but next to it was a body. Not any body but one of the classmate’s. They ran off in fright. That night there was banging on the window of a child’s house. He got out and looked but he got shot from behind. ” Ha ha that’s two children i got tonight.” He threw them into the pool and hid. The children went in but never ever came out…
That day Frank had decided to go to the scary swimming pool. It was halloween and he loved it so much that he thought he wouldn’t get scared. Once at the swimming pool Frank noticed that his best friend Tom was there. When they were changed they got ready to jump in. The water in the swimming pool was all grey. There were no lifeguards around, just them. Frank got ready to dive in when he saw two bright read eyes glaring at him. He turned around to show Tom but he had disappeared.Frank’s scream echoed in the air.
A class was just about to finish its 2- week block when their teacher announced that they would be swimming in clothes the next day. The whole class were excited but one boy had his doubts. The next day passed quickly so soon it was time to go swimming. The whole class got changed, and started the warm-up. The boy was between his two friends, but when he passed the drain, he felt himself being pulled in. The boy was know match for the unknown force. Soon after that day, a dark shape was seen swimming around that pool.
As the day went by the class was finally ready to go swimming. As usual, chattering in deep disgust with the conditions of the changing room. They were at the swimming pool ready to jump into the sky-blue water. Abby cannon balled in feet first flying through the air when she got stuck in the water as if it were cement. She bit into the water and screamed “Its jelly!” The rest of the class dived in eating there way around. We were all giggling trying to swim. All our bodies were covered in blue sticky jelly. It was the best day ever!
Once, a long time ago there was a girl. She was supposed to go for a two week swimming course with her school but she fell sick on the day. She soon found out that her parents had poisoned her drink so she was rushed to hospital to get checked out.
She was fine so she went swimming, she wasn’t great but she was ok. She had been put into the second group with the evil teacher who had lots of stories of children going missing in his group in previous years when she got into the pool she felt herself being pulled…
It was the first day our class went swimming. As we walked to the pool, everyone was chatting about which group they would be in. but one girl was nervous. We thought she just didn’t like swimming. But we were all wrong. As she slid into the water, her skin turned pale blue. We all looked in shock as a tail grew on her back.
“SEA MONSTER!” Mike screamed.
“Actually, I’m a mermaid.” the girl said calmly. (her name was Julia)
We were all super confused and happy, we had a mermaid in our class.
Julia immediately started swimming fast.
The Swimming Pool
One very unlucky day a small child around 5 or 6 decided to go in the forbidden pool that was never to be touched. However, the child didn’t come out… On Friday 13th Joshua and Jada thought it was a good idea to have a swim in the forbidden pool. They changed into their swimsuits and jumped in. Splash. They were having so much fun until the lights turned off. All the doors locked. It was only them and the pool. The pools floor started to fade away. The children failed to keep balance. They were gone.
As the class entered the frosty swimming pool, everyone looked nervous for their final day. But it was peculiar; the water was hotter than usual. As we were doing breaststroke, I heard a thunder and as quick as a flash, we were in the middle of the british channel. Salty water was in my mouth as I noticed that all of my classmates were there. A massive wave striked towards us, my classmates getting carried.
Swish. Now we were in our pool with one tiny wave in it. All of my classmates looked languorous. I never knew what would come.
Today was our final day swimming at Kentish town pool after are exhausting fortnight. Ima not sure if I felt happy or sad when I left the pool for the last time. I now knew how much I improved over those tire some weeks and I was proud of what I learnt in the time I was there as I sit here in my chair, I can remember delightful and fun 10 minutes after are lesson as we played in the water. It came with the work of swimming what seemed like hundreds of lengths of front and back crawl.
