This week’s 100 Word Challenge is based on the prompt –
Autumn is here!
You could write an autumnal poem, a description of the changes you see around you or a factual account of what happens in autumn.
We learnt lots about migration in school so you could include this!
Through the pathways, each walled by trees like gnarled fingers pointing ready to grab you. Each step crushing the gold and crimson leaves, all mud prints almost as a written down book in front of you. Small droplets begin to fall exploding each time it falls on your shoulder. Your shoes slowly filling up a squelch every time. Ginormous puddles blocking every pathway. Curled leaves dropping like a dead tennis ball with small bounces. Inside a warm smoky fire almost dancing towards the wind. Above you, clouds like fluffy cotton balls drifting slowly across the sky. The tall leaves dressed in a red and orange suit of gold.
