Your 100 Word Challenge this week is to write 100 words – no more, no less – based on the prompt: Around the World
As our Human Planet topic draws to a close, this prompt is deliberately open so you can interpret this as you choose! Perhaps you will focus on one of the characters/countries we have studied so far?
Around the world
My mind thinking of what I’m doing telling me I’m should stay at home and let someone else do the work, but my body wants to eat. The water in front of me swaying side to side. Suddenly my boat starts to move off. A few hours later I stop and stare at the sea and I see coral and I’m ready to push my body to a limit. I’m in and I can sea everything. Down I go striding towards my prey, there I shot and catch it my name is solam and I’m a fighter.
I travelled the seven continents.
I landed in South Africa. From Table Mountain I saw Cape Town and the Atlantic Ocean.
I sailed to Brazil where I met a pink Dolphin in the Amazon River.
I drove a caravan to Canada where I camped by the rocky Mountains. I saw a Grizzly Bear! I ran all the way to Antarctica where I went on a Cruise and watched penguins.
I flew to Asia where I had curry in India, then crossed the Indian Ocean to Australia where I held a baby Kangaroo and a Koala.
Then morning sunlight hit my eyes.
Not many people have been around the world like I have! Well…. Some may have but no one I know has been around the world as quick as this – 5 seconds… That’s all it took… It’s true, I swear!! I went around it last Monday night. I hung on so tightly. Six of us did it at exactly the same time. My Mum and Dad were watching me like hawks. It was nerve-wracking and I didn’t really like it! If you want to know how, then listen very carefully. It was really just a move on the trapeze they call ‘around the world’.
I was climbing. The bees buzzed above me, and the yellow sweet honey was dripping from my hands. I used to climb this tree every day. I still would have been climbing that tree now, if it wasn’t for what happened next. My people didn’t have enough sugar, and my job was to climb trees and look forthe killer bees hives that they made at the top of them. The tree that I was climbing that day was unusually tall. About 40 metres. I was sitting there, and then it happened. The rope snapped. I fell. My life was ruined.

Once upon a time there lived a man, this mans name was Joshua Brooklyn, he was the greatest magician of all times. He travelled around the world arriving at his shows every single night at a different destination. On Friday the 13th, it was his birthday but the show still had to go on. He strode on stage, as he did every night but when he turned around there was nothing. NO ONE. He ran to his helicopter and flew away. All he did for the rest of his life was fly he passed Africa, America. He never turned back!
I set of at the Paling of the sky.My journey that would take no time at all.The journey that would begin at a teleport machine. The first ever. Everyone was there. There was even a red carpet. I felt my heart pounding in my ears. My legs felt like they were going to break.I kept walking. The machine coming ever closer. And then the questions began. Could I really trust these scientists? I looked at them their faces concealed in there masks. I stepped in. Nothing happened. I looked around. They were laughing. I had been pranked.

The continuation!
Jack had recovered. He had no idea about what had happened. Then he remembered about the Thresher shark. He got up and looked around. All he could see was water. He went inside his boat and checked the GPS. It had run out of battery, then he checked his phone but that had died too. Jack went to the boat’s communication radio and called for help but he didn’t know where he was so he told them to come from Plymouth and find flare light. He shot up a flare and then he saw a yellow helicopter. He was saved.
The world a sacred place a holy place where people from all different cultures come together as one ,but one day the world lost peace over the ‘rubber’ it was an sacred item among the EP tribe ,so when A.C(Acland burley) stole it the whole world knew about it and everyone even the dead ganged up and searched the whole of the school until they found it again it was a miracle ,but the only downside was that the rubber had been picked at and had pencil holes in it like an hedgehog without its spikes.
The end.
Around the world in eighty days
Many moons ago there was a air balloon theory that a man could fly in an air balloon around the world in eighty days like a bird flying towards the heat of its home. In the basket of the balloon there is just space for a man to stand up or possibly sit down for the passenger to sleep. This actually happened and that man had the wind rushing past him as he flew above the oceans and the masses of land that he could see bellow him.
How did he do this? How?
