Whole School Newsletter Week 8
EP Highlights
What a fantastic week we’ve had at EP! A huge thank you to everyone who came along to our disco last night - you really brought the energy! It was wonderful to see so many smiling faces, amazing dance moves, and that brilliant community spirit throughout. And of course, a big shout out to everyone who helped make the night happen - we couldn’t have done it without you!
We also want to say a heartfelt thank you for your generous donations towards our Harvest Festival collection today. The foodbank collected this morning and were delighted by the quantity of donations. Your contributions will make a real difference to families in our community.
The annual Conker Competition was more competitive than ever! Reception triumphed this year - well supported by conker collectors throughout EP. Nursery are asking for a review of the rules next year! They did however win the mouldiest conkers category.
As we head into the half-term holiday next week, we hope everyone enjoys a well-deserved rest and some quality time with family and friends. We look forward to welcoming everyone back to school on Monday 3rd November for another exciting half-term ahead!

Autumn Term Reminders and Notes:
Payments
Please clear any outstanding debts for clubs and trips. We make payment for most activities up front and so rely on prompt payment from families. Thank you.
Attendance
As we end this long half term, congratulations to the 51% of children who have not missed a minute at school! Well done to Year 2 who top the leaderboard with 97.79% attendance so far this year, closely followed by Year 1 at 97.79%. Great attendance from Infants!
A reminder that statutory guidance dictates that term time holidays are recorded as an unauthorised absence (one day equals 2 sessions) and that there are fixed term penalty fines for cases of 10 sessions of unauthorised absence across a rolling 10 weeks of schooling.
Parents Evening Bookings though Arbor
We have our first Parent and Carer Meetings after half-term on Wednesday 5th and Thursday 6th November. These are important meetings with your child’s teacher to discuss how they have settled into the new school year and next steps for progress. Please make a booking through Arbor if you have not already done so.
Please make a note of your meeting time and arrive in advance, as we run strictly to time.
Little Village Baby Banks
Several of our families are active in supporting Little Village - a charity network of baby banks sharing young children’s clothes and equipment with families who need them. As the weather is turning colder that are asking for donations of pre-loved, washed winter warmers for children aged 0-6 years. They particularly need great quality blankets, bedding, pyjamas, pramsuits (0-6 months), coats (3-5 years) and weatherproof shoes/boots.They also need nappies, wipes, nappy cream, bath wash and larger items such as cots and buggies.
If you are having a sort-out over half term, and your children have out-grown any clothing items (0-6 years), please bring donations in on Monday 3 or Tuesday 4 November only. If you have a car and are able to help deliver to Camden, please get in touch.

A reminder that Coach Martin's Sports Company are running a half-term camp on the EP site Monday 27-Friday 31st October

PTA Events
After the brilliant Disco,it is full-steam ahead to the Winter Fair on Friday 5 December 3-5pm. Save the date and look out for more news after half-term!
If you are having a half-term clear-out, please look out for any old jewellery or sunglasses that are no longer wanted and in good condition, as we’d love them for our Winter Fair Pre-Loved Jewellery & Glasses Stall! Talented parents will give them a polish and re-present them beautifully.
Also any as-new toys, books and items which would make good gifts to sell will be gratefully received. Thank you!
(Jewellery and sunglasses to the office please. Donation boxes going out shortly after half term for all other items.)
