Whole School Newsletter Week 2 Spring 2026

Keeping it EP this week…

It’s been a fantastic week at EP! Across the school, pupils have been fully engaged in their exciting new topics, demonstrating great enthusiasm and curiosity. Our whole school focus this week has been on the life skill of honesty, explored through thoughtful assemblies and Coach Martin’s PE lessons. Meanwhile, the headteachers have been attending the Camden Headteachers’ Conference, working collaboratively with Heads from across the borough to share ideas and continue strengthening our schools.

A particular conference highlight was meeting the inspirational Joseph Coelho, speaker and former Children’s Laureate. Pupils will learn more about him in Monday’s assembly, where we will share his powerful poem about courage - an inspiring introduction to our next life skill focus.

Our Football Squad showed both their skills and resilience as they played with passion in the heavy rain on Tuesday. Girls won 3-1 and boys 4-0, retaining their spot at the top of the league and with only one more match to play next Tuesday. Support welcomed at Talacre to cheer them on!

EP Cookbook

The amazing team of parents creating The EP Cookbook are now collecting recipes and have shared this message:

We’re keen for the cookbook to reflect the rich diversity of our school community. If you have a much-loved family recipe — perhaps one that’s been passed down, your own version of a national dish, or an original creation — we’d love to include it.

Savoury or sweet, simple or special — the more variety, the better.

The only recipes we can’t accept are those that are copyrighted by other chefs… so sadly no Jamie Oliver recipes!

Please submit your recipe using the EP Cookbook form here

Thank you — we can’t wait to see what you share.

Online Safety

As part of our ongoing commitment to keeping our children safe and supported in all areas of their lives, we’d like to share an important online safety resource from the Children’s Commissioner for England: What I Wish My Parents or Carers Knew – A Guide for Parents and Carers on Managing Children’s Digital Lives

In today’s digital world, children spend more time online than ever before. This guide is designed to help you:

  • Understand your child’s online world, including the platforms and tools they use.
  • Start open, ongoing conversations about what they see and do online — both the positive aspects and potential risks.
  • Set clear and realistic boundaries together, so children know what’s expected and feel supported.
  • Know how to react calmly and supportively if something upsetting or harmful happens online.

This guide offers practical tips for building trust, communication, and digital resilience at home.

We strongly encourage you to read the guide and use it as a springboard for regular conversation with your child about how they use the internet and devices safely.
