Whole School News Week 9 Autumn 2025
EP Highlights
It’s been a busy and uplifting week at EP. Thank you to everyone who joined our parent progress meetings – we hope you found them useful. These conversations are all about celebrating the progress already made and sharing our ambitions for your children this year.
We’ve also welcomed a range of visitors – from former pupils and senior leaders from other schools to maths leads working collaboratively across Camden. They all commented on the joy, curiosity and passion for learning they saw in our classrooms – something that makes EP truly special.
A real highlight of the week has been the launch of EP Table Manners. Children have shown such care and teamwork in keeping our dining hall calm, tidy and respectful – leaving the hall ready for an afternoon of gymnastics and dance! These habits of responsibility and kindness are wonderful for children’s confidence and self-efficacy.
We hope this confidence will lead to some of them stepping forward to audition to be a Winter Concert poetry reader or to perform at the EP Variety Show. Do encourage your child to talk to their class teams or to us about this if they’re interested. Details below.
Thank you …
… for bringing your positivity to our Parent Progress Meetings this week.
… for bringing the disco party to EP before half-term - you raised a fantastic £1,394!
… for the generous donations to Little Village - you gave so many items for families who are struggling, and it is so positive to support sustainability and enable others to create new memories with these lovely clothes and baby things.
Thank you so much for your support!

Autumn Term Reminders and Notes:
Next week is Anti-bullying Week - such a crucial time to raise awareness of behaviour, which impacts lives so profoundly. This year, the Anti-bullying Alliance has chosen the theme - Power for Good. Everyone in our school community should read and understand our Anti-Bullying Policy which staff and children have written together. Our policy also has helpful links for parents and families to learn more about how to talk (and listen!) about bullying with children - Kidscape is a particularly great resource.
Through assemblies, stories and lessons next week, children will be learning how we can work together to stop bullying behaviour and to build a world full of kindness and respect. You can show support for this mission by wearing odd socks to school on Monday 10th November – it’s Odd Socks Day! Here is a video so you can find out more about Anti-bullying Week.
Winter Concert poetry readers
If your child is in the Juniors and would like to audition to recite a short poem at the Winter Concert please let their class teacher know by next Friday 14th November. We will then give them a few lines from a poem for your child to learn, and hold an audition the next week.
EP Variety Show
This is held on the last day of this term, Friday 19th December. Two acts are selected from each class after an in-class audition, and they will perform in the Variety Show. Children can perform alone or with classmates. We welcome a wide range of acts: dance, music, comedy, magic and more! Class auditions take place in the weeks commencing 17th and 24th November. Check class newsletters for the exact day.
School lunches and taster session
We really enjoyed gathering pupil voice about school lunches before half term — hearing what children love, what they’d like to change, and which meals make them happiest. These conversations help us feed back to Caterlink each half term and also get children talking and learning about food together.
We’re also excited to host a Lunch Taster for parents on Wednesday 19th November at 1:30pm - you’re warmly invited to come and try some of the delicious dishes from this half term’s menu.
