As part of our learning about micro-organisms in science, Year 6 have been experimenting with yeast! Today we applied our understanding of yeast to a practical problem – creating dough to bake our own bread.
With flour, water, salt and of course sugar to feed our yeast, we set about kneading and forming our loaves.
We are waiting for the dough to prove overnight and chose different locations around school to see if the temperature affects the rise of the dough.
Watch this space for some (hopefully) delicious bread tomorrow!
