On Monday, Year 3 went to the British Museum to study the Ancient Egyptian artefacts they have there. We learnt about canopic jars, mummies and sarcophaguses. We also saw a statue of Rameses which weighed 7 tonnes! We saw lots of hieroglyphics and too many cartouches to count. We even saw a small part of a statue that showed Akhenaten’s differing style of sculpture from other pharaohs. It was a great trip!
