Year 3 learnt more about fossils by exploring Belemnites. These ancient squid like creatures existed 200-66 millions years ago. The small bone called a rostrum was often preserved and re-mineralised into a fossil. We each had our own to explore, looking at how pressure changed the outer surface and the crystal formations inside!
