As part of our work on Islam Year 2 visited Regent’s Park Mosque.  We’ve been learning about the second pillar of Islam, prayer, so it was great to be able to visit a place of worship.  We saw many things we have talked about including the racks for shoes, the alcove in the wall facing Mecca, the large carpeted area subdivided into prayer mats, a minaret and a golden dome.
