As part of our learning about the Anglo-Saxons, Year 3 have been reading several adaptations of Beowulf. We love this epic poem!
To help us with our re-telling, our classroom was transformed into King Hrothgar’s magnificent hall, Heorot. We got into role, thinking about what would be happening inside the hall at the feast.
Can you spot King Hrothgar, the warriors toasting each other, servants dishing out mead and ale, and even dogs gnawing bones on the floor?
But watch out…something sinister is lurking outside…Grendel is about to attack!
