Year 1 took part in an art workshop led by artists from the Quentin Blake Centre for Illustration (formerly known as the House of Illustration). It was a fantastic day which was framed around our topic ‘We Love London!’.

We began with a walk around our local area and children drew the patterns they saw around them.

When we returned to class, students imagined being architects and thought about the buildings they would like to design. They used felt tip and paint to create a collage on concertina booklets. We had an exhibition in the classroom at the end of the day where children shared their favourite collages and praised each others work.
