We had a fantastic visit to Woodberry Wetlands. Not only did we get to explore different habitats, we got to put our scientific knowledge into practise as we categorised and classified different animals.
To further identify them we used ID cards to match them!
We found water birds like coots, ducks and moorhens, all with their young! We found amphibians like newts, toads and frogs and learnt the differences between them. We also learnt more about insects, they have 3 body parts and 6 legs, like the lesser stag beetle, butterflies and ladybirds!
We loved our science in action!
