Everyone slept well after a busy first day. Up to a chilly morning with clear skies and lots of bats in the morning sky! Straight to work opening enclosures for the day and feeding all the animals and earning a breakfast of waffles, fruit and yoghurt. There are still plenty of blackberries in the farm hedgerows – working group 3 collected 2.3kg! Another group are making scotch eggs – perhaps a new signature dish when they get home? A big lunch of lasagne and later soup and homemade cheese scones for dinner.
