This week Year 4 travelled back in time again to experience our very own Great Roman Feast! As part of a DT project this term we decided to challenge ourselves to create our very own Ancient Roman recipes. These included delicious meals such as soft Roman bread, pearl barley soup, ancient Roman burgers, globi, honey cake and a baked custard dessert. Accompanied with our recipes we also had honeyed figs with mascarpone, olives and stuffed vine leaves. Finally, to celebrate our fantastic cooking we indulged in our feast with the most important Roman tradition… a glass of “wine!”
