On Monday, Year 3 descended upon Mile End to visit Dr Barnardo’s Ragged School! We stepped back in time and had a Victorian lesson taught by scary Miss Perkins! We practised our copperplate handwriting and mental arithmetic! Can you guess what the following mnemonic stands for? Richard Of York Gave Battle In Vain.
In the afternoon we visited the Victorian kitchen and had to learn what lots of wonderful and strange items were and what their purpose was! It was such a fantastic trip, we have even written a recount of the day!
Year 3 want to say a big thank you to Ana and Lina for coming with us!
