Today Year 3 were lucky enough to visit the Murugan Temple on Archway Road. We have been learning all about Hinduism and so we were fascinated to visit this magnificent temple and see shrines dedicated to all the gods and goddesses we have been exploring in class. This temple is dedicated to Murugan – a god that is the brother of Ganesh. Miss McGrory was lucky enough to see the statues being made on the outside of the temple when she visited last week (but it involved going out on scaffolding so Year 3 didn’t do this) so we have included some pictures of these hand-carved gold statues which will be visible for everyone to see soon!
