We have been discussing the Great Fire of London and learning that the people fled their houses to the countryside…of Hampstead Heath! As we have been exploring materials and their properties in science we decided to make shelters to keep families safe. We had to think about how to make it strong to withstand the wind and keep it standing. We had to think about making if cosy and warm so people could sleep and of course waterproof to keep everyone dry.

After designing and making them we tested our tents to see how well they fulfilled those requirements.
