We had a fantastic time on our trip to Buckingham Palace. We started at Charing Cross and walked to see the changing of the guards. We tried to distract the officers with silly faces but none of them laughed! We walked through Horse Guards Parade to St James Park to see the Pelicans and feed the ducks and some rather snappy swans peas. We had lunch in the playground and had a lovely walk spotting lots of London sites such as the London Eye and Big Ben. There was lots of excitement as we noticed the Royal Standard was flying above Buckingham Palace so the King was in. We gave him our best royal waves and headed back to school. Thanks again to all the fantastic parent volunteers.
