We had a wonderful week of all things pumpkins. We have listened to Pumpkin Soup by Helen Cooper and become inspired to create our own delicious soup! We used lots of ingredients, worked hard at cutting the tricky pumpkin and teary onion and cooked our soup – unfortunately just like the soup in the story the first try at making the soup was slightly disastrous and we managed to stink out the school!  We all worked hard using our phonics and fantastic handwriting to write down the recipe for the squirrel in the story. We have also looked at the artwork of Yayoi Kusama. Inspired by her dots, bright colours, sculptures, installations and paintings, we created our own pumpkin artwork.
