Nursery has been exploring mini-beasts. We looked closely at mini-beasts using a magnifying glass. We explored different mini-beast habitats – both in our Nursery Garden and on Hampstead Heath.

We made our own bug hotels using twigs from the Elder tree at Eleanor Palmer.

We drew mini-beasts, then painted them really carefully using watercolours. Next we made our backgrounds using poster paints. We thought about the habitat that the mini-beast lived in and talked about what colours to use. Lastly we decorated our pictures with natural materials that we collected from the school grounds.
