Year 6 visited the Natural History Museum to learn about adaptation and evolution. We watched an interactive presentation where we met a giant squid called Archie who is stored in their underground collection! Edie was classified as an animal, and Ava as a mammal. Then we learned how natural selection would change the population of different beaked animals depending on their food source! The children loved having a go at using various tools as their ‘beaks’ in a race for survival.
