It was a wonderful day exploring the City of London. We got off the tube at Monument and stood at the start of Pudding Lane, we then walked the entire length of the Great Fire of London all the way to St Paul’s.
After lunch we climbed to the top of the dome through the dark and narrow passages to take in the sights of London. We noticed the famous landmarks of London and explored the view from each point of the compass…looking north we could even spot Hampstead Heath!
After 500 steps up and down we joined the St Paul’s team for a tour of the cathedral and a workshop of the Great Fire. We dressed up as fire fighters making a human water chain…it was lots of fun!
St Paul’s was beautiful; we loved taking in the impressive atmosphere and understanding more about its history, its symbols and importance in London.
