Year 1 spent the morning learning about trees and plants in Regent’s Park. James from the Field Studies Centre helped us consolidate our science learning on what plants need to grow.
We spotted some spring colours, and in groups we took it on turns to blindfold eachother and used our sense of touch for a tree hugging activity! We touched the trees to gauge the texture and patterns on the trunk and any branches, we then took our blindfold off and tried to find our way back to the tree.
We did a leaf rubbing activity and made beautiful spring collages!
After our workshop we had lunch and the sun came out for us as we played in the beautiful Marylebone Green Playground.
