We invited to Kentish Town fire fighters to visit Year 1 and Reception today. They parked their fire engine in the Home Zone and the children climbed aboard the rig to explore the equipment, to sit in the command seat and to hear about the work the fire fighters do to keep us safe. They were particularly surprised to feel how heavy the helmets are to wear and were most impressed by the huge cutting tools used to cut metal. Everyone agreed that we are lucky to have such skilled and caring emergency services to help in our community.
