Lila, Eben and Malachy (and their families) went along to Kingston University on Thursday afternoon to receive their awards for the Young Engineers competition.  Lila won the Year 2 award, Malachy won the Year 5 trophy and Eben won the  Year 6 trophy.  Over 48, 000 children entered the competition nationally so we are seriously impressed and proud of them.  The awards ceremony was in one of the impressive lecture halls at the university and the children’s designs were displayed on the big screen.  After the ceremony we went to look at 3 designs which had been built by the university from last year’s competition which included an adjustable sink and bike which could pump water!  So inspirational and we hoping for more success next year!  Well done to Lila, Eben and Malachy!
