To celebrate Diwali we learnt the story of Rama and Sita, we had a special visitor all the way from Mumbai to  help us reenact the tale. We’ve made diya lamps, created rangolis out of colourful rice, shapes, chalk and Numicon and learnt about the story of Rama and Sita. The children particularly loved the evil Ravana the ten headed demon and Hanuman the monkey king who helps Rama get Sita back from Ravana. Today we had a Diwali party complete with Bollywood dancing. We decorated our last rangoli and lit our diya candles, saying a prayer to the goddess Lakshmi. Here are some photos of our celebration.
