The cold air couldn’t stop the party!
Our 6th CBC Night in celebration of Black culture and heritage last Friday- the pictures tell the story of the evening. There was an amazing spread of food, plus DJ Wisdm on the decks, Soca aerobics, stalls and a whole range of activities for the children. Hair braiding, henna tattoos, festival mask making and an A-Z of Windrush fact hunt through the playground.
With many thanks to Deputy Mayor Nazma Rahman for attending as our special guest.
These events can’t happen without a large group of people coming together. A huge thank you and congratulations to a core team of Joy, Sei-Kee, Nanouche, Andrea, Leila, Chasney, Ebun, Francis, Adwoa, Aoife, Maya, Angela, Nat and Cleo. And many thanks to all the helping hands who baked, BBQ’d, brought dishes and drinks to share, helped on stalls and offered support. A special mention to those on stalls in the chilly playground!
Lastly thanks to everyone who joined the party – a wonderful community event and fundraiser.
