Year 6 had a brilliant day at the Royal Veterinary College this week, taking part in their ‘Afternoon Anatomy’ session! We explored the RVC’s private collection of bones and specimens; handling the bones, identifying which animals they came from and finding out which part of their bodies they would have been located in. We also worked with a live cow, pony and dog that are kept on site! We found out about their different anatomies, handled them and even listened to their heartbeats with our stethoscopes. I think we have some budding vets in the making!
