Looking back on this term, my favourite trip would be our trip to the River Thames, because I loved the part where we would go into the river and try to find small creatures. My favourite lesson would be reading buddies, because I really enjoy helping smaller children how to read and would love to see them when their older and they’re helping younger kids. For my favourite piece of work, I would say our water cycle animations, they were really fun and I liked working with that group of people. I have improved in my handwriting and my independent focus. My proudest achievement would have to be either getting second place in the X Factor with Lily and Kyrah, my attendance reaching not one second of school missed or my maths level! And last but not least my favourite memory would be trying for the swimming gala, even though it’s very unlikely that I will get in, it was really fun and I tried my best.
My favourite part of the topic was learning about the animals in the Amazon, especially the monkeys. The fact that I have learnt was that was that the squirrel monkey weigh less then 3 pounds and they live in large groups of up to 500 and they don’t use their tails to climb. My best trip this term was going to the zoo because IT WAS FUN!!!!!!!! I think I have improved my handwriting a lot. My proudest achievement is when I got 10/10 in handwriting. My favourite memory was when Rosalie, Julius and I were naming the animals at the zoo and chose an animal each and that was our name. Rosalie was called Bobby, Julius was called Pom-Pom and I was called Adele!!!!
My favourite trip so far was when we went to the London Zoo. I liked seeing the animals, especially the squirrel monkeys, the penguins and the reptiles. I liked typing up the Legend of the Curupira and I really can’t wait to see how they look in the book. I have definitely improved in maths and mostly on my times tables and divisions! In the river topic, I have learned what meandering meant and ox-bow and wetlands. I now know that the Amazon river is the 2nd longest river in the world. In science, I have learned why some sugar is brown, the difference between solids gases and liquids and also what can be a gas then a liquid and vice versa. In literacy, I have improved on my handwriting a lot more. And I wish we could do even more art : )
But my favourite memory of all is still Sayers Croft! It was so fun and i liked when we did rock climbing !! ;)!!
My best trip was when we went to the zoo because I’d never been to the rainforest birds section before and there was a beat boxing bird there!
My favorite part of the topic was doing clouds in science because it was sooo cool looking at the pictures of the tube clouds that go across Australia once every year and doing those diagrams with the cotton wool.
My proudest achievement was learning how to do compact method in maths: It’s sooo much easier than grid (I think) and a whole lot quicker.
Bye!
I have really enjoyed all of our trips especially our trip to the zoo as it was so fun and their were so many animals to look at. I have really enjoyed maths this term as it has mostly been challenging. I think I am getting a lot better a writing in literacy now that I concentrate a bit more, and P.E has never been better.
The best piece of work I’be done this term is my river poem. I was really happy with the way it turned out, because when we were planning it before, I was a bit stuck for ideas. I am definitely proud on the improvement of my maths this term and I actually really enjoyed percentages, which I dreaded. This term I really loved writing/typing up our Curupira stories, I had so many ideas coming from that single piece of work. My favourite trip this term was going to the zoo, I am sure everyone will agree with me! I have also really enjoyed P.E this term especially gymnastics on the apparatus. Coach Martin makes every lesson fun! I would like to thank Miss Foster, Ruby and Caroline for making this term so exciting and I am really looking forward to next term!
Hi guys my favourite part of this term was probably our trip with buddies on the River Thames! (not actually ON the River Thames! But you know what I mean!) I think that I’ve probably improved my handwriting because at the start it was like this- £$%^&*()*&^%$%^*^$%&*&^%$£$%^&*$£$%^&*!
But now you can actually read it! See you soon!
My favourite part of this topic has been doing the water cycle and especially doing the stop motion animation!!!!! The best fact I have learned is that you can make a cloud with hot water, ice cubes,a cup and cling film. My favourite trip was when we went to the zoo and saw LLLLOOOOAAAADDDDSSSSS of eggs. I have improved on my handwriting loads and my spelling and grammar. I think that I have also improved on my story telling and writing poems. I am really proud of my story of the Curupira and want to do more stories like that. My favourite memory of this term was when Sean and I made and it all went wrong and as I was taking it apart, a cloud formed!!!!
This term, I LOVED our trip to the zoo! The llamas were so cute! It was my highlight of the spring term! My favourite part of the topic was when we made river diagrams and made stop frame animations! My best memory was when we were doing orienteering at Sayers Croft and I couldn’t find one of the numbers/letters! I also liked our Curupira and Great snake stories, I can’t believe that they’re going into a book! This term has been amazing! 🙂
Looking back to this term my favourite trip has to be when we went to the zoo because it was fun and we got to see lots of animals! My favourite topic was when we did the river diagrams! And when we made stop frame animation with Mr Cairns!

My favourite part of the topic has been learning about the Amazon and all the animals. My favourite trip has been the and looking at all the reptiles, llamas and peeing camels. My favourite lesson has been writing our Curupira stories, but most of all I LOVED making our water cycle animations they were lots of fun. I think I have also improved a lot on my maths as well.
My highlight of the term was the trip to the zoo. I loved the reptile and amphibian section because of the fiction like looking frogs. I also enjoyed creating the egg machine which is what I call ‘ EGGS-machina’. My favourite part of the topic was the stop frame animation. I got the app and I created a movie called’ K.O fruit’. I’ve really enjoyed this term and I’m looking forward to the next one! ^~^
My favourite trip was Sayers Croft because it brought us together as Team 5! My favourite part of the topic was probably reading and writing our own myths, since I love mythology so much. I really enjoyed writing our Old Medicine Man recounts and Curupira stories because I could let my imagination run wild. I really liked going to the Maths Challenge to represent E.P and I was really proud when we came 5th out of 24! Most of all, I’ve enjoyed being part of Team 5 and being with all of my friends.
Looking back on this term my favourite trip would have to be the one to the zoo, because it was really cool to look at all the animals! My favourite lesson would definitely be the stop motion animations, and that is probably also my best part of our topic!!! I think I have really improved my handwriting and I actually got a 9 in my writing score!
All in all I think this term has been really fun, and I am looking forward to next term a LOT!
I have really enjoyed learning about rivers! It was fun making pictures inspired by Claude Monet and learning about different techniques to paint. I found it really exciting writing about the Curupira and the Great Snake! I thought the trips we have done this term have been amazing (though it was raining for our first Thames walk). We went to the zoo and saw some cool animals including snakes, donkeys, penguins, camels and birds. So far Year 5 has been brilliant!
