My favourite book is Tintin. My favourite character is Snowy and Tintin too. Mama, Daddy and Cosmo read to me and I look at the pictures. My friends would love these stories, Ozzy, Cosmo and Emmanuel would really like them. Tintin goes on adventures and gets the baddies!
My other favourite story is Moon Man. He wants to dance with all the people. When it is a half moon his face is half too! My friends would love this too.
I love adventure stories too! I think lots of children in Reception would enjoy them!
My favourite book is Monster Zoo. My favourite character is scary Squirgal! He is very mean, very ugly, very big and very strong. But he’s not always so scary . . . .
How true Ossie, some characters might do some ‘mean’ things but not be that bad really!
My favourite book is called Iggy Peck Architect. We read that book many, many times. I like all of the children in Iggy’s school. Iggy can build a castle of chalk! The children build a bridge with shoe lasses and wood. They are very happy and proud. I really like the buildings he makes. I want to bring the book to school so all my friends know this story of Iggy Peck.
Please bring it in Josephine, it would be lovely to share it!
Jack Frost is my favourite story! It is all about winter and a little boy who meets Jack Frost. He is made of snow and comes to visit each winter and he loves playing with children: as long as they don’t talk about anything warm or Jack Frost will disappear! As soon as the boy says its spring, Jack Frost disappears, until next year…
Arielle loves winter so she would love this story and Iseult would really like it too! Emmanuel would make a really good Jack Frost voice!
At home I like to have stories at night-time. Dada and Mama read to me in bed and sometimes Lilybet and Clemmie do too. And sometimes I read to them!
Its a perfect time of year to read Jack Frost…hope you got to enjoy the snow today!
I love reading lots of different stories. Dear Zoo is one of my favourite books, as I like all the animals in it. I liked reading it and lifting the flaps when I was a baby.
I also like getting new books from the library.
Its so great to go to the library, you can always find new books and adventures you didn’t know about there!
My favourite book is Babar and the Wully-Wully. My family all love Babar. Babar is an elephant and he can drink water with his trunk. Babar’s children, Pom and Flora, find the Wully-Wully. It is a creature with prickles and a nice tail. The Wully-Wully gets stolen by Rataxes, a mean rhino. Flora goes to Rataxes and explains to him that you can only keep friends through kindness and treating them with love, not by trapping them in a cage and tying them up as Rataxes has done with the Wully-Wully. He agrees to release the Wully-Wully and share him with Flora and the other children. Then everyone plays happily together at the beach.
I love the character Babar too Iseult! Sounds like he has a real adventure in the Wully-Wully book and what a lovely thing to learn about friendship.
My favourite story is “A Christmas Wish” by Julia Hubery and Soppy Williams. Though Gemma was upset with her little brother, Ty, who broke her favourite snow deer decoration, she forgave him in the end as she realised that Ty is better than a teddy bear as Ty hugs her back! They made friends again and spent a lovely Christmas together.
That sounds like a lovely book Keira, its very true how special your siblings are! (even though we can get cross with them sometimes!)
My favourite book is Alice in Wonderland. Alice and The Queen of Hearts are my favourite characters. Alice was very nice but The Queen of Hearts was a bit mean and she said “Off with her head” but Alice was okay. In the beginning, Alice was sitting with her sister and then she fell down a rabbit hole and saw a picture of a white rabbit and the Madhatter had a tea party. My Amma read it to me before I went to bed with my brother and sister and my Papa liked the book. The book was so long I read it in chapters.
I have also read Charlie and the Chocolate factory and it was a very good book. It was shorter than the other book we bought from the theatre.
It’s such a magical adventure – I loved this when I was little too! So lovely that your whole family enjoys the story with you!
My favourite book is The Highway Rat by Julia Donaldson.
It’s about the rat who was stealing food from other travellers. He even stole his horse’s hay! He was getting fatter and fatter.
He met the duck and she tricked him. He went through the cave and never came back.
I haven’t read this one before Andrzej, it sounds very funny! The rat sounds like a very cheeky character!
My favourite book is any Paddington book, but I especially like Paddington Goes For Gold because I got it on a special day out when I met Paddington at the museum of London and I met the daughter of the author who signed my copy.
In the book Paddington get into lots of trouble when the family go to a local sports day at the park. My favourite part is when he drops a heavy ball on to Mr Curry’s foot. I like to read this book at bed time.
How special Lewis! Paddington has so many adventures in his books it must be hard to pick just one favourite but what a lovely reason! Paddington is always getting into trouble, I think that is why we all love him so much!
My favorite story is Baba Yaga and the Stolen Baby. I read it in Reception ! My favorite characters are the black geese.
I really like this story too Jumman, we will share it in class again soon! I think the black geese are a little bit scary!
My favourite story is called never tickle a tiger. It is about a little girl called izzy who’s always playing about and being silly. She goes on a trip with her class and starts being silly with the animals and when her friends are eating lunch she goes to the tiger enclosure and tickles the tiger with a feather , which is very naughty. All the animals fall over and bump into each other, then izzy tells them to stop making so much noise and they listen to her. But then izzy says what would happen if she prods a polar bear…oh no!! I like reading this story lots of times!
This sounds like a great story Kenya – sounds like Izzy is a very funny (and cheeky!) character and likes to get into some mischief! I wonder what will happen with the polar bear…?
My favourite book is called” La belle lisse poire du prince de motordu”. I like reading it with mummy before going to bed. It is the story of a prince who uses lot of play on words to talk. One day, he left his castle to find a wife but found a teaching princess who helped him to use words correctly. At the end of the story they get married and invite all the children in the classroom.
My favourite part is when he says he likes having a chicken snow fight to talk about snowball fight.
It is a very funny story and I think Josephine, Anna, and Nathalie will like it.
This sounds like a wonderful book Aureile! I like the idea of the teacher helping him! I hope we can share this book with the class one day!
My favourite book is ‘Potty Poo Poo Wee Wee’. It is so funny and mummy says “not again!” every time I want to read it and that is funny too.
So cheeky Lara – but it is funny!
My favourite story is Elf on the Shelf. Santa gave it to us. The book came with an elf and we named him Jack. The children were being good. I like the picture of Jack listening. It has fun pictures of the elf and Santa and the children.
How special that Santa gave you a book! I like that you are enjoying the pictures in the book too, they make books so magical!
I like Thidwick the Big-Hearted Moose. I like it when the birds make a nest in his antlers and they climb all over him. Thidwick feels sad because his friends don’t want to be with him because he’s got birds in his antlers and his friends think they’re pests. A bobcat and a turtle come to live there too, and a fox, some mice, some fleas, a bear an some bees. Thidwick doesn’t want to get rid of them because they’re his guests. In the end his horns fall off, like they do every year at that time.
I read books at bedtime and in the morning time with mummy or daddy.
What a lovely kind moose! It makes me a little sad that his friends didn’t play with him because he was different but I hope the Thidwick felt he had lots of friends in the bobcat, turtle, birds and foxes!
My favourite story is Little Red Riding Hood. I like it because he gobbles her up. I like Little Red Riding Hood because she is tasty for the wolf’s dinner. Little Red Riding Hood is not scary because persons are scared and wolves are not scared. I like it because it has a wolf in. My favourite words in Little Red Riding Hood are, “They lived happily ever after, the end.”
What a perfect favourite book! We are looking at this one in class!
One of my favourite books is ‘It Might Be an Apple’. It is about a boy who comes home from school and sees an apple on the table but then he thinks maybe it isn’t an apple. It could be a planet or an egg that looks like an apple. Or a house. Or even it could be him and he is the apple, but I think that bit is a bit mean I don’t like that bit. The apple has hundreds of brothers and sisters with silly names. The pictures are very funny and then he eats the apple and it is just an apple and delicious.
What an interesting book Cosmo! It is true, sometimes things might not be what we think… but sometimes apples are just apples!
