We saw many old planes such as the planes during the War. I saw a spit fire and the Queens helicopter. I really liked the army helicopter which had two blades and the plane that had crashed into the sea. Along with the play area.
I think tornado planes were named after “tornado” because of their strong boosters and fast speed. And I also enjoyed driving the Robinson helicopter with Devansh. I also liked the ejector seats when the pilot presses a button and the seat flies out of the cockpit and then when he or she is ready they pull a leaver and then a parachute comes out of the back of the seat and the pilot lets go and then he or she can land on the ground safely. A wirlwind has a winch and at the end of the winch there is a heavy metal ball.
I think tornado planes are named after the “tornado” because of their strong boosters and fast speed. I also enjoyed driving the Robinson helicopter with Devansh. The ejector seats are interesting because when the pilot presses a button the seats can fly out. There is a parachute inside the seat and the pilot pulls the leaver, it will pop out and the pilot can use it to land on the ground safely.
my favourite thing about going to the museum was going through the tunnel to the scary bit. I also enjoyed going in the aeroplane with my friends.
We took turns to go in the helicopter and Nat-Nat took pictures of us!
My favourite helicopter was the Robinson!
My favourite aeroplane was the Lancaster. I enjoyed playing with the ping-pong balls in the aeroplane wing in the childrens’ area.
I loved the whole day, especially sharing the planes I like with my friends. The best part for me was being chosen to demonstrate how the Whirlwind Helicopter, the predecessor to the Sea King, used to rescue people.
I love all your comments so far Reception. We saw so many fantastic things it’s hard to choose your favourite isn’t it?
I saw a Spitfire. They have two things that look like sticks on the wings that I think spit water out. The Queen’s old helicopter is red. Only her friends or the people that live with her can go inside. We went up the stairs to look into the Halifax that had crashed into the sea and it was spooky inside. One wing fell off. I hope the crew of the Halifax took off in their ejector seats. It looked like there was room for six people in the cockpit of the Halifax. My favourite was the Queen’s helicopter. I liked the way that the Whirlwind rescued people.
I liked the old fashioned Sea King, when people were stuck in the water, a rope came down from the helicopter and rescued them. I also liked the Spitfire, it has a funny red nose like Mr Tumble on Cbeebies.
My favourite was the Queen’s helicopter because it it was huge and its rotor blades were really long. The Lancaster Bomber looked like a really fast plane.
My favourite moment at the museum was when I saw the helicopter of the Queen… That was amazing…
Did any of you see the Red Arrows and the Battle of Brittain Memorial Flight fly over London today to celebrate the end of the Second World War?
My favourite was the Queen’s helicopter because it had two pictures of crowns on it. I liked to see the rescue helicopter because it was yellow and rescued people. I liked the rescue helicopter because they land and doctors check everything.
My favourite planes were the Spitfire because it could go really fast, and the Lancaster because we visited our friends in Lancaster last weekend. I wonder why they were called Lancaster planes?
I’ll try and find out Esmee!
My great grandpa flew Lancasters and my great granny helped to make them during the Second World War. That’s why it’s my favourite plane!
I liked the Queen’s helicopter most of all. It had a basket for people to eat out of and pop-up seats. The driver sat at the very top of some steps inside. The Robinson helicopter had my favourite colours on it. I saw a rescue helicopter land on the football pitch in the park because somebody was hurt it was very noisy.
I liked the Queen’s red helicopter the most. I also liked the Lancaster and Robinson. Lancaster is a bomber plane, which shoots bombs from the back. I enjoyed flying the Robinson with Luz. I really liked the pull lever which should be up for flying and down for landing.
I really liked the Lancaster bomber but it’s not faster than a typhoon which has jet boosters. A Lancaster bomber is really awesome and cool because it’s thinner than any kind of plane. A Lancaster is also my favorite plane because all my friends always talk about it.
the lankasr was one of the war planes
I loved the Queen’s helicopter because it is red, and the yellow rescue helicopter, because it can save people even if they’re in the water. Helicopter are much cooler that aeroplanes !
We saw lots of very interesting things at the museum, like a hang glider. The pilot has to lie inside with his tummy on a metal square! I liked the Robinson helicopter, with blue and white stripes. But my favourite thing was the Sea King. It’s a bright yellow, helicopter and the army use it to rescue people who are drowning in the sea. Amit said he would love to be rescued by the Sea King.
My favourite plane was the one with the teeth, because it had teeth. My other favourite one was the black aeroplane in the first room where the fire came out (a Typhoon). I enjoyed doing the experiments, especially the ball one with the blowing. I also liked the Vulcan because it had big big wings. I liked the ones with the wooden propellers too.
