On Thursday I went to a Bob Dylan concert at the Royal Albert Hall. When we sat down in our seats we saw thousands of people. We were so close and when it started it was fabulous. I’d never been happier in my life. There was a drummer, a double bass, a violin, two guitarists, and Bob Dylan on the piano and harmonica!!!! The songs were better than any song, actually EVERYTHING was brilliant and after the interval it was even better because Bob Dylan was wiggling his leg. At the end I wanted it to start all over again.
It was just one day till Christmas and my stocking was waiting to be filled up, my Christmas tree was adorned with bauballs but the opposite with presents. I got into my bed and closed my eyes. All I had to wait for was the early song of the robins chirp and then I knew my presents would be in my stocking. I dozed off happily. As I awoke the robin chirped its song, Christmas was here! I ran down stairs to the tree and there were loads of presents. My parents strode into the room and said “Merry Christmas!”
Once a upon a time there was a little girl called Tracy. She loved to sing a song once in a while because she wanted to be a singer when she was older. Every day after school she would go to her music club and she loved it very much. Then one day she went but it was closed. She asked the teacher what happened and she said they couldn’t afford it. Tracy was gutted, but she didn’t stop there, she carried on. Then when the budget head heard it he let the music class go on. She was very, very happy.
I couldn’t understand why they had picked me. Out of 120 children in the school why had they picked me?
It all started with auditions for the christmas show where we had to do a few very long songs to sing. It was a solo for one person and I never wanted the part in the play but even though I did a very bad audition on purpose, they picked me for the solo!!?
I wished that if I closed my eyes and then opened them then it was all a dream but it wasn’t a dream, it was reality…
Year 5, from EP, had left Sayer’s Croft and started to walk up Pitch Hill. It was a mild misty morning but it rained throughout the night. The ground was the muddiest they had seen for days. Tom tripped over a damp root and fell hands first into the mud. Eve, the nearest T.A, sang ‘I want to hold your hand.‘ Another voice sang 5 times louder, ‘I WANT TO HOLD YOUR HAND.’ Everyone looked to see the scarecrow from the nearest field singing too. Luc and Joey began to sing and before you knew it the whole class was singing. Miss Stevenson shouted ‘less singing more moving!’

Dear diary once when I was in secondary school my worst enemy was inspired to write a song about life and its changes. I was at her house for a long time so I always heard them and they weren’t bad at all. In the song she mentioned how things don’t thing stays the same forever. 10 years later she went to the X factor I didn’t know she was there and she didn’t know I was there. We were in the line to find our seats. I saw her following me to my seat. What a terrible sad day.
A School is were you learn.
A Learn can be anything.
And it could be a song.
A song is a mixture of notes that sounds a tune
And the song of the tune is the way you sing it.
And as the song is sung the singer is feeling.
Happy or sad? who knows??
Just feeling.
And when the song is sung you should be proud.
You are carrying on a historical tradition.
and who knows?
maybe someone, some day will song a sing.
Or a song sing
Maybe in the future……. Who knows??
Carols were first sung in Europe thousands of years ago but they were not Christmas Carols. They were pagan songs sung at the Winter Solstice celebrations as people danced round stone circles. The word Carol actually means dance or a song of praise and joy.
Christians took over the pagan celebrations for Christmas and Christian Carols were introduced in AD 129 when a Roman Bishop said that “Angel’s Hymn” should be sung at a Christmas service in Rome. Early Carols were not very popular as they were written in Latin and normal people couldn’t understand them.
Sometimes I can’t stop singing a song in my head most of the time it is nonsense, a bit of goobldy-goop, if you get what I mean. The songs in my head are a nuisance especially when I am trying to get to sleep they, go round and round and round in my head like a CD player that’s gone wrong Just spinning. It’s nearly as much nuisance when I’m not trying to get to sleep making me not able to concentrate as much so I find it hard to do anything AND I HAVE ONE IN MY HEAD NOW!
People say I sing too much. Usually people don’t talk to me in class, I’m not that popular, but when they do its always “shut up Stella.” I don’t mean to be annoying I just hum a bit. Sometimes. There’s a girl in my class who picks on me and calls me “smella”. Lately she and I had a few brawls. That’s why I’m writing this. I have time now I’m grounded. Anyway she and her goons were making snooty comments about me singing. I don’t know what next but I remember holding a pair of scissors in one hand and a ponytail in the other. No one bullies me anymore.
Once upon a saturday evening in London there was a boom: everyone heard it, then all electronics including cars stopped. Suddenly a great shape loomed over us. It was the conductor! He was a man with a huge zeplin airship trying to destroy all music!!!! Suddenly a tiny shape shot across the sky. It was music man ! He wore a huge red stretchy suit with the letter M on it and a yellow mask with a black cape swaying behind it . He burst into the control room and socked the conductor in the jaw. He was already dead…
“Aaaaah” – I thought someone was dying, it turns out it was my brother Sam singing, the noise was piercing and shrill, a bit like a cat being strangled. Sam was practising for a school concert; I am not sure what kind of concert perhaps a cat’s chorus! Apparently he was confident of getting the lead role so he needed to practise every day, it was continuous and was painful beyond the level that a normal human being can bear, at one point I thought the windows might even smash. Thank god he didn’t get a singing part.
Singing a Song
A sound from deep within
and higher and higher and higher and higher
until you get to the very top but is
there really such thing?
Then back down again
to the very bottom of your range
and then the song begins
breath deep from your diaphragm
and comes out in a song
through your smiling mouth and eyes
what a nice surprise.
The music carrying you in a flow
and when the chorus comes again
it picks you up like a nice warm friend.
slowly the song comes to an end but
that’s just where it begins!

Is this a true story? Sounds like a great evening!

I don’t remember this! Although I am sure I sang beautifully!

Trinity! Great to see a comment. Is this based on a true story?

A robin sang a pretty song
It lasted for very long,
As a little girl woke full of hope
That robin sang the most beautiful note
On Christmas day as the bells ring
The robin sang ding a ling ling
The little girl skipped along
And listened to that robin’s song
The girl in the grand church
The robin in the silver birch
Both singing happily together
As the wind rustled through the heather
When at last the candles were lit
The robin said his good bye chit
Returning to his cosy nest
As the little girl tried to rest.
