One snowy afternoon, the kids were making snow men. when it was bedtime all the snow men that they made disappeared. They came alive. they wanted to wonder off. So they trudged through the deep snow. They went towards the dark spooky forest, then crossed the deep cold river and last of all they went through the scary dark cave. It was almost sunrise so the snow men decided to go back were they came from. The snow men went back into their positions and waited for the children to come out and play.
I woke up. The frost covered my window. I stood up and ran swiftly downstairs to admire the beauty of the snow that covered everything in my street, I slipped on my boots, zipped up my puffer jacket and tied my scarf, I was ready. As I ran outside, snowballs were fired in my direction, from above and from my side. It was extremely enjoyable, even though I was getting pelted by snowballs. I walked, enjoying every second of the snow, but the sun had started peeking out from beyond the horizon and melting the white blanket. Let it snow!
Once upon a time there was an old lady called Aliza. She was taking her grandchildren out for a walk when snow started falling from the puffy clouds above. “What’s this strange thing falling from the sky granny?” asked her two puzzled grandchildren. “ Why its snow, haven’t you ever seen snow before?” The two children shook their heads. She hurried them on and was now determined to teach them what snow was. She found a spot that had lots of snow and started teaching them how to build a snowman. They ended up having a great time, and never missed out on a chance to play in the snow.
The walk took us hours. The snow was dancing above our heads, the trees as white as paper. The roads were covered in brown, soggy mush. And people would be in their homes cuddling up next to the fire; I saw adults singing carols outside peoples doors. Parents rushing to shops to get presents. Children spinning around, sliding down hills and throwing snowballs at eachother. Groups of teenagers dressed up as Santa Clause while laughing and chatting. The sky became ink black so early, but the snow didn’t stop. Trucks came along the roads cleaning up the big mess. It was Christmas.
As we sat around the kitchen table, mother brought in a hot turkey. I stared out of the window, watching the Christmas trees swaying in the wind. Father owns a Christmas tree plantation, and the locals come to buy theirtrees here.
Suddenly I saw it. The first snowflake of the year. It was twinkling in the evening sunshine. A brilliant white, shining. It hovered in the air, showing off its beauty, when a gust of wind swept it towards a unmended crack in our wooden ceiling. It blew into the house and landed on little kitty’s nose. She licked it up and then it was gone.
The snow fell down from the sky. It was white. It was cold.
It lay on the frosty under growth. It was white. It was cold.
A snow- flake formed again and again, it was blank. It was frozen.
A beast appeared. It was hot. It was fiery.
It rose from the depth of the horizon. It was flaming. It was beastly.
The snow washed away, seeping through the gaps of earth.
It was that time again. The time when everything was hot. Everything was burning. All things were boiling. The summer had appeared. The snow was gone… for now.
Children were throwing snowballs at each other lagging and playing . Through the window there are couples huddled up by the fire and eating mince pies. A baby’s first Christmas and their father was helping hang up their first stocking. Yet I don’t have someone to love and celebrate with nor do I even have food. I sit on the streets cold and wet and people walking past me , as if I am invisible . The only people who see me are children and they hide being there mothers or they snigger under their breath and call me names . But At least some people say merry Christmas which makes my day.
I’m in my bed, it’s Christmas eve. I am waiting up for Santa Claus. I get out of bed and look out of the window and there’s no snow or any sign of reindeer. I think to myself ‘Please let it snow’. I go back to bed and go to sleep…
…in the morning, I get out of bed and rush down the stairs where the stockings are hanging and then I run and crash open the backdoor and it’s snowing! I run outside and my little sister follows. I make a snowball and start a snowball fight with her. Happy Christmas.
The snowflakes fall as I begin to wake up all cosy and warm wrapped up like a cocoon , I get out of my bed and run down the stairs, I rush towards the door to get my shoes and coat on and open the stiff door.
The cold air bursts into my face. I can see the frost covered cars I walk towards the big heap of snow my feet church on every step. I can feel the cold snow falling onto my hair as I build the snowman and have a snowball fight with Ewan and my cosines
When it snows, when the Christmas tree is up, when our gloves are on and our coats buttoned up, when the crisp cold air is out, when we sip hot chocolate and eat candy canes, when the turkey is cooking and sprouts are boiling when we open our advent day after day, when more presents appear under the tree, when the puddles freeze, when we hang our wreath on the door and we wrap presents up under the tree , when we hang the sparkling decorations up, when we hang our stockings up… I know it is Christmas!!!
Christmas morning. Possibly the most magical moment of the year. I ran, sprinting out into the snow-covered woods. I found my place in the woods and started to build my masterpiece, the greatest snowman of all time! After many hours of toil, my mum brought me lunch to eat by the river. As I was eating my sandwich, I heard a rustle from a nearby bush. A reindeer appeared, pausing to drink from the river, then proceeding to trot up to my snowman, interested in its nose. Quick as a flash, I clapped my hands. It ran.
I was staring out the window at America when I saw a single snowflake fell past the plane. Its intricate arms swirling in the wind, its ivory surface glinting as the plane raced past. As fast as it came, it left and I saw the runway beneath us. We hit the ground with a slight bump and soon everyone was lining up to get out. As I stepped out of the plane and onto the runway, I was surrounded by snow up to my knees! Its beautiful shine lighting up the airport. That is when I knew I was home.
As the early morning sun rose to signal that its was Christmas Day, I knew something was exciting,it was going to snow today and apparently, it was going to be the best, whitest snow in ten years. I ran downstairs, and hurriedly put my coat, snow boots, gloves and scarf. I couldn’t wait any longer and burst into the outside. ‘There is no snow!’ I whispered to myself. I checked the forecast on my phone and suddenly it said slushy snow today. Good snow tomorrow. I sighed and trudged back in the the house wondering what I could do.

Let It Snow!
Oh the weather outside is frightful
But the fire is so delightful
And since we’ve no place to go
Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!
It doesn’t show signs of stopping
And I’ve bought some corn for popping
The lights are turned way down low
Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!
When we finally kiss good night
How I’ll hate going out in the storm!
But if you’ll really hold me tight
All the way home I’ll be warm
The fire is slowly dying
And, my dear, we’re still goodbying
Lily!

Part of that actually was true!
