“MUM, MUM!!!!” shouted Robert. His mum was fed up with him always shouting so she didn’t react, she just went up to see Robert.
“What do you want?” she said
“Have you seen my coat?” he asked
“What does it look like Robert?”
“Well it has a red hood but green outside it has black buttons but blue inside and it has a brown zip, so have you seen it?”
“I’m afraid not Robert,” she sighed.
On that day Robert and his mum looked for his coat, they looked everywhere except…… “Look in your room Robert!”
Robert rushed to his room and there it was, his coat.

Once upon a time there lived a boy called Jeremy and he lived in a cottage and his mum and dad took him to a fun fair, he was enjoying the fun fair but there was a boy who dropped his coat and Jeremy picked up the coat and took it. When they went home it had 10 rings, they took the rings off and tried looking for the boy who dropped his coat but they couldn’t find the house so they went to the fun fair to look for the boy. When they found the boy he got angry because Jeremy and his mum and dad took the rings so the boy’s mum called the police but they ran away so they went home and lived happily ever after
My eyes stung as the dust got kicked up in my face. I was a beggar. I had no money and all I could do was beg. Then I saw it. It was a magnet to my survival. The coat. It was made of leopard fur and embroidered in gold. If only… If only I could get my hands on that coat! It shone in front of the melting sun’s eyes. I had to get it. I snuck through the crowd to the being of the coat. It echoed in my head until I realised that this was my life. I was built for stealing. And it was time. Time to steal the coat…
The coat was still as it hung on a peg. It had fur inside, it was leather and brown with a few light brown patches, it felt heavy. It smelt of the farm/grass with a hint of home. The boy who owned it was called Winlo from Asia. Winlo was 11 and he recently moved to London. When he was in Asia his dad had a farm with animals, he had cows, goats and chickens. Winlo’s favourite cow died, so his father took the skin and made the coat. He wore it every day to school because it was special.
I feel used some times, when the weather is chilly I’m pulled close, hugged but……When it’s warm I am put in a box under a dusty bed with these round balls that smell awful. If the balls are not there then lavae try and eat me.
At times I hear, “Ohh that’s lovely, where did you get it from?” Other times it’s, “That smells and is dirty, it needs a wash”. Those times I’m embarrassed but feel itchy and glad to know that I am going in the watery round about.
Now I’m called vintage, SOLD to to highest bidder!
PART2
The convicts coat was bright orange with a marking imprinted on the back, it read dangerous convict on the back. I didn’t catch his full name but the others called him Chengis and saw him as a legend, “He’s the best knife-man in the world” they’d say. I didn’t know if this was true or not but I didn’t have time to find out because as soon as we had turned the corner red dots were on our chest. Snipers. I handed Chengis a knife, we weren’t going down without a fight. And definitely not a good one.
A coat is a piece of clothing that is for warmth or fashion. It usually has an open front that can be closed. We need coats because we have no fur. We don’t know when coats began, yet we think they came around when humans migrated to new climates and they were made out of hide or plants. The first weaving was about 27,000 years ago yet then they were still made out of hide or wool and were only used for warmth. Nowadays coats are made out of lots of different things like cotton and synthetic fibres like nylon.

Coats
Following the American and French Revolutions of the late 1700s, an appreciation for democracy and for the common man spread over the Western world. This led to a plainer style of dress for the men of the 1800s than had been the fashion in the centuries before. Elaborate frills and fancy decorations were replaced by simple styles in basic colors. The coat was one of the central elements of the nineteenth-century man’s everyday wardrobe, and, though there were many different popular styles, they all reflected the less showy fashion of the times.
The coat I like best and wear the most is my green hoodie. It’s the second green hoodie I’ve had. The first got too small, so it was replaced for a bigger size. I really like my green hoodie. I’ve had it since I was eight. I like the fact that the pockets are deep, so I can fit my hands in, like a muff. I like the hood because it is useful. When it rains I can just wear it so I don’t need to bother with a hat, which I might lose anyway. It’s a pretty cool garment.
My prison coat is all black. That colour stood for The Devil’s Helper as we were in death’s row. Four months ago North Korea invaded America with nuclear weaponry and it turns out that this time, we lost. Right now we are being led to the execution chambers to be shot. We are finally here to meet our doom. The marksman raised his gun when suddenly a blonde haired girl shot him.”You’re coming with me,” she said.
The coat was one of the artefacts of Eden; the relics of the gods, the relics of the men who walked before Adam and Eve. They have immense power and are extremely dangerous. The apple of Eden can drain the power out of anyone, even the gods. Then the Cross of the Templars which can summon lightning on anyone. Then the Coat of the Assassins, it can turn anyone invisible. So when I found this coat and put it on, I was shocked at the new power. I have passed this coat on to my assassin brothers.
“I’m afraid you will have to take that coat off, Hugo.”
“No way, you can’t make me!”
“Take it off now! Or get out of the classroom! 5,4,3,2,1. GET OUT!!!”
Hugo thought that secondary school was so hard. Teachers were always moaning about how you have to work hard if you want to get anywhere in life, and how you get back what you give in. It wasn’t fair. But Hugo of all people got on the teachers’ nerves because he would never take off his coat. Even if it was the hottest day of the century, he wouldn’t take it off.
I took my coat to the cleaners. I came back for it later on in the day. They handed me the grey coat. I was unknowing at the time, but this was a duplicate.
When I got home from work I decided to go and look for my coat. I wanted to go for a walk in the park. I found it on my bed. It was in the strangest position, lying on its side. Then, when I went over to pick it up it jumped into my arms. I thought I must have been seeing things; but I wasn’t.
I’m a sad naked-mole rat and I don’t have a coat
My body is cold from my tail to my throat.
I would like to be a lion, I would like to be a bear
I would like to be a rabbit, I would like to be a hare.
I’m a happy bee buzzing around all the day
I have no coat and i’m happy that way.
I fly around on flowers to collect all the honey
But that’s not all I am also very funny.
I am an elephant and I don’t have a coat either.
A painting builds coat on coat
The base layer to the last
Perhaps one more coat
But all the coats have one thing in common
Colour upon colour
Lairs of blossom
A coat can be thick and furry
Warm and toasty out and in
A coat can be full of colours
All the rainbow to begin
But one thing all the coats share
Is a zip or a button or something there
A coat is many things
Can be a layer of paint
Or can keep out the wind
But a coat is definitely something
And of course is never nothing.

Coats, coats,
Never abuse,
The awesome epic-ness of these tools.
Wear them when you’re in a boat,
Riding down a vicious moat,
Wear them to a football match,
As long as you’ve got a spare patch,
Coats, coats,
Never abuse,
The awesome epic-ness of these tools,
Striped,
Blue,
Pink and red,
You can even wear them when you’re in bed!
Coats, coats,
Never abuse,
The awesome epic-ness of these tools,
Take that coat off,
The teacher said,
So I fled,
Out of school,
And went to play a game of boule!
So now you’ll never abuse,
The awesome epic-ness of these tools!
