The journey of Santa Clause
Santa lives at the North Pole, and at Christmas he delivers the presents to all the children and grown-ups. After every Christmas Santa, has to get ready to pack next year’s presents, but do you know who does it for him? His elves! The elves can read children’s and grown-ups mind for what they want for the next Christmas while Santa sleeps for the whole year. When it is Christmas Santa wakes up and uses his sleigh to go around the world and a big sack to carry all the presents’ that weigh a ton.
It’s only16 days, till Christmas now.
Trees coming up, being decorated all around me in every house.
Advent calendars are open, greeting the new season,
I doubt that even the worst Grinch could call this snowy time treason.
And I also think, for that matter, that nobody else has a reason,
To dislike the greatest holiday, and my job is to cease them.
Unlike most others I don’t get that excited by Christmas,
It’s just always freezing cold, never sunny.
There’s better times of year for me, I’m sorry.
It’s just my opinion, and you’ve got one as well I bet…
I stare at my humans, puzzled by their excited shrieks and hyper bouncing. Lottie in particular seems far too jovial for this bleak, forbidding weather, laughing and hurling herself at her parents. “Mummy, Daddy, can we dress Custard up and pretend he’s a little doggy Santa Claus? Pleeeeaaaassssseee?” I shudder. Dressing up is one of my least favourite activities. However, I am greatly intrigued by the mention of this ‘Santa Claus’. Why have I not heard of him before, having shared my home with these creatures for almost a year? My thoughts are interrupted by Lottie screaming “Christmas is Coming!”
The night before Christmas is so exciting! The last door of the advent calendar has been opened and the Christmas tree sparkling with lights and decorations, anticipating Christmas Day. The best bit is waking up and seeing my stocking bulging, the sight my eyes have wanted to see for the whole year and I jump out of bed and pull on my comfy slippers. I gently ease my hand into the festive stocking and pull out the first of many presents. I run down the stairs and eagerly wake my parents, who blearily wish me happy Christmas. Christmas is here!
Christmas. One of the most loved and cherished times of the year. Filled with joy and happiness to the very top. Unless there is a Grinch in your lovely town coming to steal away Christmas; which would be unfortunate wouldn’t it be. Every time there is a Christmas the Grinch will try to take it away. No-one likes the Grinch let’s not hope that there is a Grinch in your town. Xmas is where you sing carols and have fun. Let’s hope that there is a Christmas that YOU can find. We wish you a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS. Bye.
