A moment in time can creep by
Or go so fast you want to cry
A moment in time can be a friend
Or someone you love meeting their end
A moment in time can be painful or sad
Or make you very glad
A moment in time could be today
Or any other minute of any day
A moment in time could be hope
Or perhaps a dreary mope
A moment in time is as precious as gold
Even though time is impossible to hold
A moment in time can never go back
And can make you feel a deep dark black
It was just another ordinary day in our new house until we discovered the five mounds in the backyard. The only thing was, they were shaped in the most dreaded formation: a pentagram! We immediately called demolition services but unfortunately they couldn’t come until tomorrow so we had to stay the night. Our mum told us that everything was fine but I knew something wasn’t right so I stayed up all night. Suddenly at about 1 o’clock, my door opened, nobody was there, just then there was a scream and then there was silence.
Jake was excited. He was going to a scientist lab to test out a time machine. At the lab the scientist welcomed him. He was to go 2 days in the past but, he went to the pirate times. Jake was fascinated by the life that people had but he had to get back. Trying to get back the time machine went to the future! There he saw flying cars and robots. Humans and these robots were at war. He got back to his original time just before a laser hit the time machine. This was his favorite moment in time.
As I opened my eyes I saw paintings on the walls, then I saw a familiar one with sunflowers on it but I couldn’t name the artist. I touched the floor just to make sure I wasn’t dreaming, but it was real. Just then a man handed me a glass of water. I took it and drank it. I screwed my eyes up. When I opened my eyes I was being rushed to hospital in an ambulance with my mum saying I’d taken a nasty fall. I looked out the window to see a poster about the Van Gough exhibition with the same painting that I had seen before!

In his room he was playing with his toys. This boy’s name was Sam and he was 6. Sam was playing good verses evil. Time went by. “It is my last year,” said Sam “in primary school”. That year he did sats, they went on trips and they had to choose secondary school. BOOM he was packing up to go to university. He got all his old toys together, he took them to his mum’s friend’s daughter. Then he had to go and his mum cried and muttered, “This moment in time I will never forget.” They hugged and said bye.
A moment in time would be amazing wouldn’t it? Looking at our life-style compared to others and seeing different things from here. Well you might think how come you know it’s great anyway? If I tell you, you’d better keep a secret. You see I’ve been there and lived there for quite a while, but seem to know it. I had a lovely house and in front a beautiful garden with flowers and no weeds. I thought I could live there all my life, but there was a time that I needed to go so I did and I was fine!
Sweat dripped onto the uncomfortable chair that was in a waiting room. Not a waiting room… The waiting room. Everyone in the waiting room got called up to go into the room of the Boss. Even the Boss’s name sounded evil. His name was… Bobby Heffeley. Everybody who went in, came out changed. Even the toughest men came out scared.
“John Cairns” called the man from the desk. His voice was gritty and he gave me a dirty look before I entered the room. I took a deep breath and entered the dreaded doors. This was the moment in time.
What a brilliant name a moment in time would be for a chocolate company; it would evoke a picture of you at the end of an excruciating days work tasting a delicious, magnificent, amazing piece of caramel melt in your mouth chocolate. Just a moment in time when the whole world is in sync, a moment when you are everyone and everyone is you and the world is at peace. For short you could call the chocolate moments because it only takes a fraction of a moment to truly enjoy it but the pleasure lasts a lifetime.
I woke up to the sound of twittering birds and a pair of very very cold feet. Matilda was already awake and attempting to get out of her sleeping bag without freezing to death. I reached out for my rucksack and pulled out the first clothes my hands touched, then I ventured to get out of my sleeping bag, failed and got dressed inside. When at last we got outside we were hit by the most beautiful sight of the forest and in that moment in time all I could hear were the sounds of the woodland !

A moment in time
A crack in the wall
Looking at my life
Through a crystal ball
The journeys I will make
The people I will meet
The skills I will learn
The rhythm of my feet
Where will my feet take me
Will they ever stop?
Will my feet lead me
All the way to the top?
Will life go on forever?
Or do you only live once?
I suspect it’s the latter
But that’s just my hunch
If it is just the once
Let’s drop the crystal ball
Start living for today
Peace and love one and all!
