The Voyager-1 spacecraft has become the first man-made object to leave the Solar System.
Scientists say the probe’s instruments indicate it has moved beyond the bubble of hot gas from our Sun and is now moving in the space between the stars.
Launched in 1977, Voyager was sent initially to study the outer planets, but then just kept on going.
Today, the veteran Nasa mission is almost 19 billion km (12 billion miles) from home.
This distance is so vast that it takes 17 hours now for a radio signal sent from Voyager to reach receivers here on Earth.
“This is really a key milestone that we’d been hoping we would reach when we started this project over 40 years ago – that we would get a spacecraft into interstellar space,” said Prof Ed Stone, the chief scientist on the venture.

The majestic machine called the Voyager-1 is a man made object that can continue moving through many solar systems. It was launched at the late seventies. The majestic Voyager-1 was a big project NASA built. The point of building it was so we can discover planets and maybe we might move to one of the those planets because in about 50 million years the sun will turn into a red giant that constantly expands and will destroy all the planets in our solar system; then the atoms will push against the sun and electrons circling the atoms will push the atoms away, then eventually the atoms will succeed in making the sun into the White Dwarf that some scientists find in our solar system.
1) The voyager 1 carried a 12-inch gold plated copper disk that contained sounds and images from earth?
2) They send data to earth?
3) Both voyagers are now in the heliopause just entering interstellar space?
4) Voyager 1 was launched on September 5th 1977?
5) Voyager 2 was launched on August 20th 1977?
6)The 2 voyagers have explored the giant planets of Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune?
8) It is said that in about 10 years the voyagers will stop producing electricity causing the 20watt transmitters will stop working and die?
FILM FACT: in the first Star Trek film ,Voyager 1 has evolved into a colossal living space ship which wants to return to earth.
The Probe Voyager
In 1977 a probe called Voyager was launched into space to find out about planets. When it finished it went to explore other galaxies. At first voyager was sent to study the planetary systems of Jupiter and Saturn, then the space probe continued its mission by going further out to space. On August 25, 2012 “Voyager 1” became the first human-made object to enter interstellar space. The space probe was built in Southern California, and was paid for by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration. The Voyager spacecraft weighs 773 kilograms. Voyager is still going strong today.
Jake was walking home from school and on the way he saw a crater in the ground. As he inspected it he noticed it was a astroid that had ran out of fuel and crashed before it reached space. Jake was spooked and ran home but did not tell anyone what he had discovered. The next morning, on the way to school, he looked for the astroid and could not find it. After school he was watching television and he saw the news man say that they had found a astroid in a crater and it took off into space.

Imagine what it would be like to go into interstellar space, it’s a thought many people never thought let alone experienced, but I have. In 1977 the voyager-1 left the earth but nobody noticed the figure inside. I never meant anything to happen I was just a child and it was just a dare, a dare that went very wrong. The view of our solar system is amazing but I wish I could escape from this desolate pod. I radioed for help but by the time it reached NASA the designer was dead and there was nothing anyone could do.
Through space past the stars past the sun past mars.
The electricity powering on and on this is the route for voyager one.
Seventeen hours to message earth thirty six years since the voyagers birth.
Entering a new galaxy, a new universe new planets that we haven’t discovered with the voyager one it’s going to be covered.
The hot bubble of gas is far behind, the voyager one moved on long ago this is according to what scientists know.
The voyager one will soon power-out but voyager two would still be going and who knows what we will be knowing.
Victory for Voyager as it becomes the first man-made object to leave our Solar System.
On 5th September 1977 NASA launched Voyager to study the outer Solar System.
Years went by and the probe went on and on.

Generators will cause the mission to come to an end in 2025, they will no longer provide enough power to operate the instruments.

This summer I went to New York with my parents. We visited The Natural History Museum in Manhattan where they were showing an IMAX film called “Journey to the Stars”. It was basically the story of how the world was created from the Big Bang. It actually took us on a journey from nothingness to the beginning of time. We saw the creation of the Sun, the Earth, the other seven planets and the galaxy nearest to these planets called The Milky Way as well as all the stars in the galaxy too. It was a truly extraordinary sight!

1. The Voyager 1 launched nearly exactly 36 years ago!!
2. It took 7 DAYS for it to reach outer space!!!
3. It’ll only last until 2025 as it will run out of power from the generators
4. It weighs 773 KGs’!!

“ REBEL POCKET 107 WIPED OUT!” Suddenly a man comes running out of nowhere and drops a grenade and destroys everything. The voyager 1 is destroyed. End titles: Some say you can still see parts of the voyager floating.
A little chatty alien called Bobby lived on the moon. It was all quiet until one day something came, a spacecraft called Voyager One. He jumped on it and left the solar system. He didn’t know where he was going, he jumped off and landed on a far away planet. It felt weird and slimy with big holes.
Suddenly another alien who was small and green said ‘hello there, do you want to be my friend? ‘Sure thing’ the first alien replied and they have been friends since.
They played together until they got so bored they had a fight!
Stars zooming by, flashing and sparkling in the dark.
Coming closer to Thursday, zooming in on the details, then coming to Saturday, both orbiting Sunday.
Monday is now too faraway to see.
Thor is getting angry, storms are brewing, swirling and tumbling.
As time ticks on, Saturn counts the hands slashing at the crops.
I have left the hot bubble of gas behind me, moving into the space between the bright cold stars.
The sky around me is filled with smiling and frowning moons.
Are there people out there, are there eyes staring back at me in the darkness around?

I am a spacecraft
Floating into space
I’m in a competition to win a mighty race

In 1977
I feel I’m just about to drift further into heaven
It feels so dark and lonely
My heart’s about to break
I don’t have friends to play with
I don’t have things to make
I feel I’m getting colder
As I drift far from the sun
I feel antennae shaking
I think they’re getting numb
It’s rubbish being me
All the frightful fears and thoughts
I’d rather be chicken
Or a slimy toad with warts!
Once upon a time there was an alien called Bob floating about all alone in space. Until one day in the Voyager 1 came across a huge, sparkly planet that he had never seen before. Of course he wanted to check it out. So he got out and had a wonder, but suddenly a tiny little thing popped out and landed on his nose “Hello there”, said the little thing. Bob was stunned and only just managed to answer “Hello?” “Booja booja like your nose and never ever ever want to leave. Is that ok?”
“No way” said Bob.
