Moses and the Egyptians
On Wednesday 25th November the Rainbow Theatre came to Year 1!!
The thrilling and fascinating story of Moses and the Egyptian Pharaoh was acted out. The performance was crammed with details of life in Ancient Egypt, including brilliant masks of the Gods and accurate costumes!
The play starts when the Mummy of a Scribe comes alive and takes the children back to Ancient Egypt to learn about the story of Moses.
Pyramids and the Mummification process are dramatically portrayed as are the Plagues of Egypt and the Crossing of the Red Sea.
Year 1 participated at every stage of the colourful and moving production as Egyptian school children, farmers, Pharaoh’s soldiers, priests and the Hebrew slaves.
What a great morning!!
