Message from our Co-Heads
Eleanor Palmer is a one form entry (30 children per year group) state funded non-selective community primary school for ages 3-11, in the London borough of Camden.
Our school is a happy, ambitious and inclusive school, reflecting the rich diversity of families in our area. Our teaching team is characterised by its dynamic, creative and caring approach. We are always seeking to learn and improve, and we go the extra mile for our pupils to have the opportunity to do the same.
One of our important principles is that school leadership remains closely connected to the classroom and that includes us! We teach weekly lessons and we have a passion for the deep-rooted topic-based curriculum which has been central to our school for decades. We are rigorous in ensuring pupils achieve highly, know and remember more and flourish as they progress through our carefully designed coherent curriculum.
Our supportive community of parents and carers think highly of all that the school does for their children, as summed up by one when completing our annual parent survey:
‘Eleanor Palmer is an absolutely wonderful school – warm, nurturing, extremely well led and managed, with excellent teaching and a very inclusive ethos.’
Ofsted rated our school as outstanding in all areas when we were last judged, writing that, ‘Through exemplary care, guidance and support, high quality teaching, a rich and stimulating curriculum, and their determination to succeed, pupils make outstanding progress, and attainment is high and rising by the end of Year 6.’
Ofsted praised ‘dynamic and inspirational leadership at all levels’ and included our governing body in a ‘relentless quest for excellence.’
We are delighted to be co-headteachers of Eleanor Palmer and to work for Camden! We hope that you find this website useful.
