A wonderful day at St Paul’s Cathedral

We had a lovely day at St Paul’s Cathedral. Built after the Great Fire of London, we have been learning about this important event in London’s history.

We found clues like a model of the old cathedral and the new one. We learnt that the current cathedral is the 5th version and it took 35 years to build! We saw Sir Christopher Wren’s tomb, the architect of the building. We looked up at the magnificent dome from the cathedral floor, the first dome built in England.

After lunch we had the energy to climb 528 steps to the Golden Gallery, right at the top of the Cathedral! We spotted some of our favourite London landmarks.

Thank you to our amazing parents who joined us on this trip!
