Last week Year 4 had a fantastic day travelling back through time to the magical ruins of Lullingstone Roman Villa! Travelling all the way to Kent we got to see first-hand the incredible architecture that the Roman’s built in Britain.
Acting as fieldwork researchers, we learned about the Roman routines of bathing and how they would move between the caldarium (the hot baths) through to the cooling frigidarium (the cold baths). We also learned about the various Roman gods that the owners of the house would have worshipped and how the archaeologists found the villa in the first place!
