We launched our parachutes on Friday before half term! The children had designed parachutes based on what we had learnt about air resistance and gravity. We looked at different parachutes and children picked key designs, shape, material etc and then constructed them in teams.
Then came the true test, could the parachute return Noor Egg-ayat Khan safely to earth from the top of the tower!
Unfortunately, there were a few cracks along the way but we learnt a lot! Well done to Arlo, Arthur and Arielle for their winning parachute! I think we learnt that Noor needed a larger parachute in order for the air resistance experienced to counter balance the gravity pulling her to earth. Well done to all the teams!
